Incident Release- Nov. 6th Theater Lane Fire

At approximately 10:57 AM on Thursday, November 6th, UCFD#1 was dispatched to a working structure fire in the 1300 block of Theater Lane in Hermiston.

Upon arrival, UCFD#1 crews discovered an outdoor building on fire with heavy smoke and flames showing. With assistance from Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District, crews worked quickly to contain the fire within 10 minutes on-scene before it could spread to any adjacent structures. Water Tenders were also dispatched to supply water due to the rural location of the incident and the lack of hydrants for engines to connect to.

No injuries were reported. The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
