UCFD1 Joins the Effort in Los Angeles County Fires

UCFD1 Personnel and Apparatus Travel to California for Mutal Aid Request.

HERMISTON,OR- Early in the morning on Saturday, January 11th,  Umatilla County Fire District #1 answered the call for mutual aid in response to the devastating fires currently raging across Los Angeles County. 

Water Tender 25, staffed with Lieutenant Jesse Brown and Firefighter/Paramedic Andrew Corral dispatched from Hermiston, OR on a 14 day assignment. The UCFD1 team arrived in Southern California on Monday, January 13th and quickly began their 24 hour shifts, assigned to the Palisades fire.  They join  21 strike teams, 75 fire engines, 30 water tenders, and 370 firefighters, according to a January 11th Oregon State Fire Marshal Press Release.
